About

I am an African-American female living in the DC metro area.  I created this blog to foster the exchange of ideas and contribute to the political process. For years now I have held a deep affection for the sixties era and all that it stood for.  These days I am often reminded of the sacrifices that my parents and their parents made in order to affect change for our generation.  It is the images and narratives of the past that inspire and motivate me to shake things up today.  My focus?  Our leaders and how we select them.  We need to raise the bar and challenge the status quo when it comes to the political process. Years of partisan bickering and rigid party lines have left many of us disillusioned with politics and politicians.  Such infighting by the two main political parties concerning trivial issues that do not affect your average citizen leaves most of us passive and apathetic.  It is our obligation as the the electorate to communicate to current and future leaders that the divisive politics of the past are no longer acceptable.  As a newer generation of informed voters we must summon up the passion, inspiration, and dialogue needed to initiate change and make sure that our political leaders are working for us not vice versa.  We as constituents hold the power to vote the candidate into office that best represents America’s future.  We reject divisive party line rhetoric that pits both parties against each other, instead this site stands for coming together to achieve the best America.
