Democrat Bill Owens won the seat in New York’s 23rd District that Republicans have held for 120 years.  Though the GOP brought out their big guns that includes Sarah Palin, Fred Thompson, Tim Pawlenty, and Glenn Beck just to name a few.  Yet this very conservative district voted for a Democrat that had been caught flat-footed several times throughout his campaign for not having a command of the issues.  Democrats are surely grateful to teabaggers for not making the night a total loss.  In addition, the seat increases the Democrat majority in the House.
