Martin Luther King Jr.

On this very special day, I am reminded of all the sacrifices that Martin Luther King Jr. made so that every american can live free without the shackles of racism and bigotry that permeated our country during his brief time with us.  This day I am humbled by the sacrifices of all those who came before me. All the african-americans, all the caucasians, all the latinos, all the asians, all  the women and men, who were a part of the Movement of the 1960’s that gave opportunities to our generation that prior generations never dreamed possible.  Because of the vision, dedication, and perseverence of Dr. King, we have an african-american and a woman as serious contenders for the highest office in the nation.  So I say with the greatest admiration and gratitude…thank you Martin for your relentless dedication to equal justice for all americans.  How long, not long….
